Friday (10/18) marked the 28th annual Rotary Bowl Football Game between Rancho Bernardo and Mt. Carmel.  A perpetual trophy, presented annually to the winning team, is sponsored by the San Diego North Rotary Club.  The RB Broncos won a cliff-hanger, 27-21.

The 32nd Annual Rotary Fun Run will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Mt. Carmel High School.  Runners from grades 3 through 5 will run a one mile long course and grades 6 through 8 will be challenged by a 1.8 mile long course.  All races will start and end in the stadium and the courses are totally on the high school property.  The last few years have seen well in excess of 800 runners participate.  All runners get a ribbon marking the event, and special ribbons will be given to the top ten finishers.  Per-event registration is encouraged but runners can sign up the day of the race.  Contact Jean Heinz for additional information at jean@heinzfeinberg.com or (619) 238-5454.

San Diego North Rotary will plant a mix of Mission Manzanita, Scrub Oak, and Sugarbush at the County of San Diego property in the canyon preserve.  These plants are from the Mossa Creek Nursery in Valley Center which specializes in growing native species.  Final details are in process.  Call for further information: 858-869-5304.

San Diego North Rotary will partner with Poway - Scripps Rotary to run the first annual Rotary Dog Walk in May 2020.  The event will be held at Penasquitos Creek Park and Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve and will feature both a 5K and a 3K trail for dogs of all sizes and shapes, along with their owners on the other end of a leash.  Project details will be developed by a joint steering committee, and will be provided on this web site as they become available.
